A note from Richard

Our way

A neighborhood lineage.

Peace on the Street began with one question: what does Zen look like when you teach it on the block where you live? For nearly twenty years the answer has been the same — show up, sit down, do the work.

We teach because the practice changed our lives. We teach in two languages because the neighborhood does. We teach for free because no one ever charged us to learn how to breathe.

"We're not running a meditation studio. We're holding a door open on the corner where we grew up." — Richard, Director
